Yet Another Scam Spotting Warning

Published / Last Updated on 03/04/2024

We have personally received a number of scam emails purporting to be us or sent by us so we thought it prudent to remind you again of some examples on how to spot a scam or phishing email.

In this latest one, our website FinancialAdvice.net has allegedly sent out an email asking for us to sign some documents using DocuSign.  DocuSign is a legitimate business but we do not use this service for a our document production of acceptance of terms.

We have written our own code for this exact reason.

In the email receiving your will note:

  1. The email has been received from alpnasteels (when it was supposed to be from us)
  2. The link button (when you ‘mouse’ over it) points to a website URL address:  hoonsfun.cam (clearly not us and not a legitimate website address).

Remember:

Always check the source of incoming emails.

Always ‘mouse’ over links (buttons or text) before you click on them to highlight where you are being directed too.

If in doubt, email us using a known email address or contact +44 (0)1637 838260.
