Most of us will have heard of the Money Advice Service, The Pensions Advisory Service and Pension Wise. All three are funded by the financial services, pensions and investment industry by levy.
These services were launched to offer consumers free money guidance on the full range of finance related matters.
That said, having three different ‘guidance’ sources no doubt confused the consumer as to where they should seek help so in 2019, all 3 were merged to form the Money and Pensions Service (MaPS).
MaPS is currently undergoing a rebrand with a new website and a ‘one stop shop’ help service to offer a more joined up and cohesive place to consumers to get help with their money.
The new service will be known as “MoneyHelper” with the rebrand set to go live in June 2021.
