For some time now we have had ‘family SIPPs’ (self invested personal pensions) where family members pool resources in their pension funds to collectively invest.
We have also had, for many years, multi-car insurance policies that attract discounts as well as discounts for having motor insurance and home insurance with the same insurer.
Over the last few years we have also seen greater numbers of family mortgages where parents and grandparents pool their resources so that our children, without huge equity or deposits, can secure a mortgage and get on the property ladder.
We are now, just recently, starting to see pooled family investment platforms, where if you and your loved ones are all investing using the same platform, your combined investment wealth attracts fund and management charge discounts across all investment portfolios.
