A 'think tank' has called upon a Government Select Committee of MPs to ban mortgages on properties with low Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) ratings of
F and G. They even suggested the target should be C for all residential property.
Plan for the future - priority home improvements should be insulation, more efficient boilers and heaters as well as energy bulbs, double/triple glazing and more rather then a nice garden/nice paint job/nice drive.
Failure to do so may affect your ability to buy, sell or let a property out. Many mortgage lenders already reject F & G EPC ratings.
