The UK population is projected to increase by 3.6 million (5.5%) over 10 years, from an estimated 65.6 million in mid-2016 to 69.2 million in mid-2026.
Over the next 10 years, 46% of UK population growth is projected to result from more births than deaths, with 54% resulting from net international migration.
Mid 2016 65.6m by 2019 66m population - Around 400,000 every 2.2 years – or say 200,000 a year
BUT new build homes are at 40k per quarter, that's 160k homes pa and only 15k per quarter when in recession. That’s just 60k home a year.
So around 69.2m population by 2026 and 7-8 million population increase in say 15 years - but no more than say 2.5 million new homes created
