What Can I Do To Plan For Care

Published / Last Updated on 06/04/2024

First thing to do is too realise the likelihood of your need for care in old age.

If you want the choice, even the choice to protect your assets, you need to plan now, not when it is too late.

These days we are all living longer but according to The General Household Survey carried out by the Department of Health:

  • 40% of people over the age of 65 have a long standing illnesses
  • At age 75, 50% of us have a long term illness and need help
  • At age 85, 3 out of 4 have a long term illness and need help!

On the balance of probability, you will need care at some point.

If you do not want the local authority to have a call on your home and other assets you need to plan now for the cost of future fees.  We can help you do this.
