XX/XX/20XX – FTSE opened this week at 7,258 and closed marginally up at 7,299. There has been a little movement for many weeks now and it feels like markets, commentators and investors are ‘waiting for something to happen’. We call it the ‘phoney war’. Brexit, Trump, Euro collapse, Frexit? Grexit? Nothing has happened yet. As we said last week, we still think a correction is yet to come and we maintain that we buy in when markets are low. It is difficult for us all to decide whether to invest or not and we have little to add. We are still buying China, it fell this week, but we are staying away from developed markets although larger fund managers appear to favour Europe and Japan (see sentiment indicator).
