Is it Time to Remortgage as Fixed Rates Hit All Time Low

- 2 year fixed rate mortgages = average 2.4% pa - 12 mth low
- 10 year fixed rate mortgages = average 2.76% pa - All time low
Remortgage transfers to a new mortgage provider were up 75% in the 3rd quarter or 2019 according to UK Finance (a lobby/trade group for the top 50 banks/lenders).
In addition, a total of 135,500 of the 311,400 mortgage product transfers conducted in the third quarter of 2019 were done on an execution-only basis i.e. consumers doing 'DIY' remortgaging.
