Funeral Payments Pledge

Protection Distributors Group (a group a leading protection adviser firms has set up a ‘Funeral Pledge' to try and lobby life insurers to pay out in advance on all valid life assurance claims.
The insurer's pledge is a minimum advanced payment of £5,000 payment although some insurers have gone beyond this and indeed others already have advance payment systems in place.
This can become important when urgent funds are needed such as for funeral expenses and estate/probate costs.
