UK Deflation - Negative Inflation Is Here

It has finally arrived, prices in Britain are going down across the board as a result of the recession.

RPI inflation fell by 0.4 per cent in March, down from zero in February.  to -0.4%.

This is the first time since records began that Britain has had deflation

A combination of the lowest interest rates of all time plus low fuel prices and general price cutting to drive sales through shops has resulted in deflation i.e.  negative inflation.
