Irish Permanent Close Isle of Man

With immediate effect, Irish Permanent has left the savings market in the Isle of Man. The bank intends to concentrate on the Irish market, rather than offshore. Deposits continue to be protected by the Isle of Man Depositors Compensation Scheme and the Irish Government Guarantee Scheme.
Our View: This is a real shame, they have some of the best savings rates available from the Isle of Man and their administration was excellent. They will be missed in the market.
