Banks Unlimited Bonus Agreement

Following months of threats from government ministers to toughen up their stance on City bonuses, the government have now given the go-ahead for British banks to pay unlimited bonuses.

According to the Guardian, ministers are now hoping for a deal in which the banks agree to lending targets and improve the way they disclose their pay deals.  Other options currently being proposed is to release information on the five highest paid individuals at each bank and also to disclose how many are given more than £1m
