According to a survey done by National Savings, 14% of people forget to tell insurance and investment companies when they move house.
National Savings launched their own Savings and Investments tracing service in November 2001 and have managed to reunite £2m with rightful owners.
Unfortunately, they do not offer the service for savings and investments with other companies.
