France _ Germany Recession End?

France - Germany Recession End?

Both the German and French economies have published figures showing economic growth of 0.3% between April and June.

Both economies have experienced growth in consumer spending e.g.  the successful German car scrapping scheme as well as other actions taken to stimulate their economies.

In addition, both experienced an increase in exports i.e.  selling goods and services overseas.

The rest of Europe however has stayed in recession, and we suggest these positive Franco-German figures are too early to call.

We suggest things will continue to worsen across Europe, as many economic actions taken by Governments are only short-term fixes.

Recession and redundancy across the UK and Europe, which will ultimately affect France and Germany, will continue well into 2010.
