EU Budget Fines

The EU is looking at ways of preventing countries from overspending and going against public sector debt guidelines.

We all know across the western hemisphere, many countries are making huge cuts in public spending to reduce their deficits amid the risk of strikes and civil unrest.

However, it appears that some countries may be looking to ignore EU budget guidelines and spend their way out of debt.  

To quote an EU spokesman, “ we do not want another Greece”.  Perhaps fines greater than the damaged caused by strikes or indeed ejection from the EU is the only answer.
