Divorcing Couples Avoid Sharing Pensions

According to new research, divorcing couples are avoiding pensions sharing in divorce orders because they find they are too complex.  However, Solicitors are far more positive about pensions sharing and the chairman of the Solicitors Family Law Association, Jane Craig, confirms that avoiding pension sharing in a divorce order would be a mistake for some people.  She also confirmed that for some, the equity in the family home could be worth less than the pension fund.
