Budget 2009 - Pension Credit Capital Improvements

The current amount of capital disregarded for Pension Credit calculation purposes is £6,000.

The Budget has increased this disregard limit to £10,000 with effect November 2009.

This enhancement adds to the above-inflation rise in minimum income from April 2009 to £130 per week for a single person and £198 per week for a couple.
