Budget 2009 - Higher Stamp Duty Limits Remain
The Chancellor confirmed that the increase to the threshold for payment of Stamp Duty Land Tax announced in September 2008 will remain until 31 December 2009.
The threshold at which Stamp Duty Land Tax becomes payable therefore remains at £175,000 as opposed to the previously lower level of £125,000.
