Bet On Equities

If you can't bear to look at the value of your shares at the moment, take heart that you are not alone. In terms of possible light at the end of the tunnel, a survey of fund managers revealed that 69% believed equities would outperform bonds during 2003. 

Bonds are corporate loans and basically you lend them your money and they pay you interest.  The findings may seem hard to believe as many investors are putting their money in fixed interest investments and bonds.  Property also seems a favourite at the moment.

Our view: 

We have heard this before on a number of occasions over the last two years.  Wait and see what happens with the Gulf crisis before making decisions.
