Doubts over Conservative cuts

by Ashley Clark, Director

Sir Peter Girshon, who was a key player in formulating the £6bn planned cuts proposed by the Conservatives has now cast concern over whether the full cuts can be implemented by April 2011.

The main issue is the renegotiation of contracts the Government intends with suppliers.  This is said to save £1.7bn but could take longer than next April.

By all accounts, if the cuts are in motion, the British public should not mind waiting a little longer for the full amount of cuts to be implemented.
