Recent research issued by Alliance & Leicester highlighted that less than 1 in 3 women have made any provision for their retirement.  The figures for men came in with 40% having some form of provision.  Planning for retirement is just as important for women as it is for men - even more so in some cases.  Although not true in every case, generally women are the ones to take more career breaks during their lifetime, be it to raise a family or care for other members of the family.
