Small Change _ Where Do You Keep Yours?

Published / Last Updated on 17/01/2003

A recent survey by the Halifax claims that two thirds of people in the UK save their loose change in a trusty old piggy bank, bottle or jar.

The amount saved varies but around a third of people claim to have over £20 saved. The way we save at home also apparently varies according to which part of the country we live in.

When asked about what people save their loose change for, most had nothing specific in mind. The most common were to spend on children, holidays, presents and gifts for charity.
