Pension Complaints Increase

Published / Last Updated on 13/05/2002

OPAS, the Occupational Pensions Advisory Service, have confirmed in recent figures that enquiries from the public about possible pension complaints have increased by over 27% in the last 12 months.

They have also said that the actual caseload that they have been involved in at 10,416 inquiries has shot up by 24%.  Complaints come from both the mis-selling of pensions as well as advisers not explaining enough exactly what people have purchased.
