Inland Revenue Review

Published / Last Updated on 13/12/2002

The much talked about Inland Revenue review of pension taxation is due to be released with the pensions green paper on 17 December 2002.  The Revenue has been assessing the taxation of pensions and trying to simplify it so that the choice and flexibility of pensions are increased for everyone.

Although none of the review details have been disclosed, the Inland Revenue has assured the industry that pension tax benefits will remain.  This document was originally due for publication back in July but Gordon Brown announced in his pre-budget speech that it would be delayed until December.
