Here we go again!!! There are three individuals once again pressing Nationwide to demutualise and convert to bank status, rather than remaining as a building society.
Each of the three people are attempting to become part of the Nationwide board and need 250 votes to become candidates. Five hundred votes are required to table a resolution to demutualise the society.
The deadline for nominations has passed and we are now waiting for details. As of last week, one of the three candidates had enough support from members to proceed.Previous carpetbagger stories .
