Another Review Of Pensions

Published / Last Updated on 23/10/2002

The Treasury Select Committee has announced another review of pensions is due. This time the review surrounds the confusing number of tax laws for pensions to comply with, help and advice being needed for consumers about pensions, creating trust so that people save confidently and over the long term and for a fair and simple system to be created.

This news is music to our ears but we will listen sceptically. There have been a number of consultation papers released by the Government recently on pensions but change is yet to happen.

However, if changes are made along the lines recommended by the Treasury Select Committee, people should be able to save confidently and easily into pensions without being bombarded with legislation, jargon and poor advice.

Serach the archives for either pensions or previous reviews.
