Advertising The Need To Save

An advertising trade body, ISBA, which claims to have a number of providers as members, has issued calls to both the Financial Services Authority, the industry regulator, and the Government asking them to consider a large scale advertising campaign.

In simple terms, there is a large savings gap which appears to have been ever present.  The savings gap is the difference between estimates of what people should save for their financial welfare and what they are currently saving.

Our view

We support the request by the ISBA.  It is our view that the only way people will understand that they need to save more is by being better informed.  This was the whole reason for us setting .
