Name Change for British Friendly Society

British Friendly Society

The British Benefits Friendly Society has been able to change its name and is now known as The British Friendly Society.  The change of name was passed by its members at a recent Annual General Meeting and has already been registered with the Financial Services Authority.

The society was originally founded in 1902 and had 620 members, now it has over 17,000 members with assets of more than £100million.

The Chief Executive of the British Friendly Society Mike Harding is thrilled at the change of name and feels that it is an achievement for an organisation with only 15 members of staff.

Our view

This is a great PR coup for them.  Using the name The British Friendly Society is a much more powerful brand and will no doubt grow their business profile.
