UK Inflation Falls to 0.9%

Consumer Prices Inflation in the UK fell dramatically in December from 4.1% in November to 3.1% in December.  This index is a reflection on prices that we pay for a range of goods and also services such as fuel and power.

Comparatively, the main headline rate of inflation that we all understand, Retail Prices Inflation (RPI) – which is the inflation level of a basket of selected goods, fell to just 0.9% from 3%.  One of the biggest falls in nearly 30 years.
