A study from the Financial Services Authority has found that even though the majority of schools in the UK think that personal finance education is important, less than one-third of teachers are confident about teaching the subject to their students.
The Financial Services Authority has launched a 'one-stop shop' as part of a government initiative called Learning Money Matters to provide advice for teachers teaching personal finance.
The survey is to be repeated every four to five years, with findings used to improve the quality of personal finance education in UK schools.
