According to research from Engage Mutual Assurance, more than half of workers (53%) are planning to spend their retirement travelling, and hope to buy a property abroad. The firm also said that the reality of retirement was very different and that only 7% would ever buy property overseas.
Our view
Many people have greater aspirations than our parents or grandparents did as we have had the luxury of travelling more and with better media awareness of our World. The reality is though that the coverage and awareness of finance is sadly lacking meaning that many will not have the means to live their dreams.
