Foreign Workers Leave UK

Foreign Workers are likely to leave the UK according to a survey by the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.

The survey revealed that proposed changes to the taxation of non-domiciled residents could lead to an exodus of foreign talent.  The survey found that one third of non-domiciles were either leaving, planning to leave or selling UK investments and taking £3.13bn of tax revenues with them.

Our view

We go to all this trouble to encourage both talented and lower grade foreign workers here to work, pay taxes and develop our nation with a UK lifestyle, healthcare, education and employment system only to then penalise them.  Just because the Chancellor wishes to raise a few extra pounds on their overseas wealth as well.
