Following on from our story on 18 April about bonus declaration, it is believed that Equitable will actually declare bonuses at the end of June. Industry analysts wonder whether Equitable will be able to pay anything at all.
In the meantime, Equitable seems to be slapping law suits on everyone including former personnel, apparently needing people to blame.
Ernst & Young are Equitable’s former auditors. They have been asked to justify their behaviour or face legal proceedings. Similar documentation has been issued to Equitable’s former lawyers and around 20 of Equitable’s former directors.
