Budget 2012 Cigarettes Beer and Fuel

  • Duty on cigarettes increased by 37p per pack of twenty.
  • Alcohol - no duty increase on beer, wines and spirits.
  • Fuel - no increase in duty on fuel
  • Road Licence - increased by inflation for most cars
  • Road Licence - Hauliers - no increase
  • Gambling Duty - many companies have moved offshore to avoid gaming duty.  This loophole will now be closed with tax levied where the bet is placed and not where the gaming company is based.
