The land registry have released figures confirmimg that the number of properties being sold at just under the £250,000 limit is on the increase. At the £250,000 mark, duty increases from 1% to 3%.

It would appear that people may be organising seperate cash deals for other items to keep the cost of property down on things such as kitchen units and plants etc.
