Redundancy dispute  - If you think you should receive a payment and your employer does not.

If you think that you should have received a redundancy lump sum but your employer has not paid you, you should write to your employer asking for a payment.

If your employer disputes and does not feel that a redundancy lump sum payment should be made to you, you have the right to refer your redundancy dispute to an employment tribunal which will look at the redundancy dispute case.

You also have a right to dispute if you are unable to write to your ex employer for some reason.

An employment Tribunal has special powers that enable them to settle redundancy disputes between employers and employees in respect of redundancy payments.

If you feel you have a valid redundancy dispute case and wish to refer your case to a tribunal, you need to make your application within six months of your job ending.
