Expert Advice When Made Redundant _ Employment Tribunals

Redundancy and Emloyment Tribunals

When the time comes and you actually want to apply to an Employment Tribunal, you will need to complete an IT1 form which is available from Job Centres or Employment Service offices.  There is an explanatory leaflet to accompany the application form.

When the application form is received by the Tribunal they will send a copy to ACAS who will pass it to one of their conciliation officers who will try and get you and your employer to reach a settlement.

If this does not work, the case will be passed to the Tribunal.

If, after being awarded a redundancy payment by the Employment Tribunal, you do not receive it, you will need to contact a Redundancy Payments office for advice.
