The Department for Works and Pensions had originally set a deadline for topping up national insurance gaps backdated to 2006 i.e., 17 years for April 2023.
This was then extended on 7 March 2023 to 31st July 2023.
Extended to 5th April 2025
The DWP via Pensions Minister Laura Trott, has today confirmed that it will now give people nearly another 2 years to be able to top up any national insurance gaps from 2006 by extending the deadline to 05/04/2025.
