Research
Landlords with who let their properties to students could find that they increase their investment return by around 7 per cent gross. Which is an average increase of 2.6 per cent on those landlords that do not.
The research is also highlighted that students are now taking care of their accommodation and are less likely to damage it, for fear of losing deposits.
Our view
New landlords should stay away from the student market until you have more experience in the buy-to-let market, to learn how to manage the properties and make a stable return from student accommodation rents.
