Pensioners Cannot Afford Basic 'Treats'

Published / Last Updated on 29/03/2006

According to Age Concern, pensioners don't have enough money for basic treats, like a meal out, after paying their bills.

The charity has claimed that 40% of those aged over 65 believe that their social lives are limited by a lack of money, and 35% said that they could not afford to spend money on a day out, let alone a holiday.
