Majority Work In Retirement

Aegon research shows, fewer than a third of 50 to 65 year olds want to stop working when they reach retirement age, despite thinking they could afford to.  The life and pensions firm surveyed more than 2000 people about their attitudes towards retirement and to see what sort of financial provision they have in place.

The survey found 61 per cent expect to choose to carry on working in some capacity after they reach retirement age or pursue further education or charity work.
