Brits Have Financial Goals

One-third of Britons have set themselves a financial goal in the past year, according to Research conducted online by Scottish Widows.  The research revealed 30 per cent of adults had been trying to get their finances in order, while 28 per cent cited fitness as a goal.  The internet was revealed as the main source of guidance for both fitness and financial advice.

Mike Hoban, customer and brand marketing director for Scottish Widows said “It is important to prepare financially for the future and it is great news that people are really seeing that commitment now can mean seeing big benefits when you are older.  Seeking advice from an independent adviser is the best way of making sure that you have someone to look after your best interests”.

Our view

This is good news that many set goals.  The problem really with these results is that more than two thirds of us do not.
