Nearly 4 Million Financial Services Complaints in 6 Months

A staggering 3.76 million complaints were made about financial services firms in the last 6 months of 2017.

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has this week release figures for complaints made to financial services as follows:

  • Total Complaints June to December 2017 3.76 million (up 427,032 on the first half year of 2017)
  • PPI Complaints up 40% to 1.55 million
  • PPI Compensation paid £415.8 million
  • Total Non-PPI complaints down 13,000 to 2.21 million
  • Non-PPI complaints 509,047 about current accounts
  • Non- PPI complaints 314,586 about credit cards

So the ‘Arnie’  PPI advertisements by the FCA are clearly working.
