US Interest Rates Slashed to Between 0 - 0.25%
The US Federal Reserve has cut interest rates from 1% to just 0 - 0.25% to continue its concerted drive to stimulate the US economy.
The ‘Fed’ suggested that rates would stay at these low interest rate levels "for some time".
Our view on this, is that rates are technically now at zero and we suggest the UK may follow with similar cuts to around 1% early in 2009.
Expect further economic stimulation in the US.
