Unemployment in Europe

by Ashley Clark, Director

According to Eurostat’s labour market data, unemployment in the Eurozone increased by 15,000 during April.

The overall rate of unemployment is 10.1%.

Austria, Latvia, the Netherlands and Spain have the lowest overall unemployment figures, with Germany being the only country seeing a fall in unemployment slightly.

Fund managers generally feel that whilst there will still be growth in all European regions, it is likely to be minimal for some time to come.
