Spain Holiday Air Passenger Tax.
Anybody thinking of taking a holiday to Spain this summer will now have to pay a new tax that has just been announced by the Spanish government. This new tax is the Spanish governments way to try and recoup some money from its financial meltdown.
However even if the flights were books months in advance some airlines are insisting that the travellers still pay the tax. The tax on the people flying could be anything up to £6 per person.
This may put holidaymakers off flying to Spain with certain airlines but what is called Spain's Holiday Air Passenger Tax is needed to help Spain get back on its feet.
