Shares Rise As US Suggests Fixing Interest Rates.

US central bank have announced it was likely to hold interest rates until 2013 resulting in a rise in European shares.  London’s 100 share index is up 1.4% and Frankfurt’s Dax index is more than 2% higher.

According to Robert Peston, BBC’s business editor, the statement from the Federal Reserve basically predicts that there will be no meaningful economic growth in the US for the next 2 years.
