Pound Stronger on Dollar $1.60
The British pound is stronger against the dollar at $1.60 following sentiment that the UK is perhaps seeing green shoots, or indeed people being as pessimistic as they have been over the last three months.
The pound hit $1.6016 and compares favourably to the position after Christmas at a 20 year low of $1.36.
