Lloyds Another 1200 Job Losses

Lloyds Banking Group has announced further job losses to add to the 8,000 already cut this year.

The 1,200 job losses are mainly due to the merger of Scottish Widows and Clerical Medical, as spin off from Lloyds, who owned Scottish Widows, taking over HBOS who owned Clerical Medical.

Lloyds claim around 25% of the job losses are temporary positions rather than permanent jobs.  Scotland has 220 job losses, West Yorkshire 300 job losses, Bristol 110 job losses.
