Last Will and Testament and dying Intestate: Half the population have no Will and would die intestate according to a report from Standard Life.
The report revealed that almost half of the adult population have not written a Will. and will die intestate. The findings also showed that 41 per cent of those interviewed had not told their family where important documents are stored.
There is a difference in the number of Wills written between couples rather than individuals, with more couples writing Wills.
Our view
Your Last Will and Testament is a very important financial planning action to take. Much of the population will not realise that for some, Prince Charles may inherit your estate if you have not made a Will and die intestate.
